Obituary for Vincent "Uncle Jim" Ferro
Vincent “Uncle Jim” Ferro, 94 years of age, life-long resident of East Boston, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017.
Cherished son of the late John and Carmella (Vassallo) Ferro. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (DiBella) Ferro. Loving brother of Salvatore Ferro and his wife Thelma and the late Carmella Sala, Francis, Tony, Nancy, Mario, John, Anna and Rita Ferro. Uncle Jim is survived by his nephew Salvatore Sala and his children Michelle and Salvatore Sala Jr. and many loving nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Vincent was a WWII Army Veteran and a retired Boston Police Officer.
Family and friends will honor Uncle Jim by gathering at Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St. REVERE on Monday, December 4th from 4PM to 8PM and again at 8:30AM Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to St. Joseph-St. Lazarus Church in East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 10AM.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lynn, MA.
