Obituary for Rakia Ibaachen

Rakia Ibaachen of Revere was granted her angel wings on February 27th 2017. Her final days were spent a long side her loving family and friends at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Rakia was born October 24th 2008 at Boston Medical Center to Eva (Baker) and Idriss Ibaachen.
She was a second grader at Paul Revere Innovation School. Rakia enjoyed riding her bike, singing, and going to the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her big sister, playing with her dog Boo, reading books, her daily walks to school with her father and cuddling up with her mother. Rakia looked forward to spending her summer vacation in Ohio visiting family.

Rakia is survived by her parents Idriss and Eva Ibaachen of Revere, MA. Sister Caroline Ibaachen (Darrin Po). Grandparents David and Carlen Macsko of Niles, OH, and Ahmad Ibaachen of Morocco. Aunts Jennifer Maines(OH) and Michelle Macsko(OH), Susan Rivera(Revere). Fatima, Amina, Malka, Touda, Fatima, Rahma Ibaachen of Morocco . Uncles Brian Baker (NC) and Rick Maines(OH) Ehmed, Elhoucine, Nacer, Omar Ibaachen of Morocco . She also is survived by many cousins from Ohio, North Carolina and Morocco.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather James Baker and grandmother Ait-El-Mahra.

Family and friends will honor Rakia’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St. REVERE on Saturday, March 4th from 4PM to 8PM. Committal service is private.
